Katherine Heigl announced the name of the newest addition to her family, a son already following in his father’s footsteps. Heigl’s third child with husband Josh Kelley is named Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr., making him the second Josh in the family of five.
The name “Joshua” means “God is my salvation.” It has biblical roots, matching the Christian-inspired middle name Bishop.
Joshua Jr. joins big sisters Adalaide, 4, and Naleigh, 8, both of whom are reportedly thrilled to have a new baby brother. “Naleigh and Adalaide could not be more excited to welcome their new sibling into the fold,” Heigl told People, when she first announced her pregnancy. “Josh and I are overflowing with joy and gratitude.”
Heigl documented her pregnancy with Joshua on her Instagram, sharing her pregnancy cravings and exercise woes. ““This is an incredibly exciting time for us filled with hope, anticipation and hormones. Well, only I’m filled with hormones, but everyone in the family gets to enjoy them,” Heigl shared with People. “We couldn’t be more excited to be able to finally share this news with our fans, and are looking forward to continuing to share the journey with you all.”
